QUOTE OF THE WEEK
Thomas Watson (1620-1686, English Nonconformist Puritan Preacher, Author in London)
“It is a fearful sin to take God's name in vain. The name of God is sacred, and it is profane to use it lightly, rashly, or irreverently.”

Fusion Send-off, July 24
Everyone is invited to our Fusion Send-off as we prepare to launch our student team into their mission trip! Join us for a powerful evening of worship and prayer as we cover the Fusion Team in encouragement before they head to Eastern Washington. This is a special moment for our whole church family to come together, celebrate what God is doing, and show our support. Students will arrive early at 6pm with their luggage, and the service begins for the congregation at 6:30pm in the Worship Center.

Fusion Sunday, Church Picnic, August 10
  • Get ready for one of the best days of summer— our Fusion Sunday Church Picnic! Join your church family for an afternoon filled with food, fun, and fellowship, hosted by the Fusion Mission Team. Bring a side dish based on the first letter of your last name and your best dessert for the friendly dessert competition. We’ll gather at Auburn Game Farm Park, arriving at 3:30pm and eating at 4pm. It’s going to be a sweet time together, and we’d love for everyone to be part of it.
  • Flourish is back for 2025–2026, and new groups are forming now! This once-a-month discipleship gathering invites women and teen girls to grow deeper in faith and friendship. Whether you’re returning or joining for the first time, all participants need to register. Groups meet in homes and church rooms, with flexible times to fit your schedule. This year, we’ll be studying “Trusting God” together. Groups begin September 1, and now is the perfect time to get connected.
  • Start your morning with good coffee, great conversation, and even better community at our Women’s Summer Coffeehouse! This casual, drop-in gathering is open to all women, including teen girls. Plan for just time to connect, sip something warm, and enjoy the company of others. There will also be a few craft projects to explore. Moms are welcome to bring kids to play at the playground and nursery spaces nearby. We’ll gather on Wednesday, August 6, from 9:30–11:30am in the Worship Center Foyer. Donations are welcome to help cover the cost of coffee, treats, and crafts.
Fill The Canoe, July 17-Aug. 24
Christ's Church and other FW churches are partnering with We Love Our City and Red Canoe Credit Union to support students at Sacajawea and Nautilus schools. Donate new backpacks, coats, deodorant, and school supplies by August 24 in the Worship Center foyer. You can also order from Amazon and ship directly to the church. Red Canoe will match all donations!

Sermon Notes
Each week, sermon notes are available on our website and in the Church Center app. They’re a great tool to help you stay focused during the message, deepen your understanding, and reflect on or disciple others later. Don’t miss out!
Here’s how to find them:
  • On ccfw.org/messages, click on the Sunday message. You will find them at the top of the page.
  • In the Church Center app, sermon notes are available from the homepage.
From the website, you’ll see links to download the notes as a PDF or Word file. Past notes are also available if you missed a week.
