There are many key connections that we see in life where you can have one thing without the other (light-dark; up-down; black-white; etc.) and this is especially true in being a “good servant of Christ Jesus” (v. 6). Paul is going to show us that a “good servant” needs a growing walk with Christ in order to be able to effectively work for Christ in ministry.
