We all love compliments and probably the best compliment you could ever receive from God’s point of view is to hear “Well done, good and faithful slave” (Matt. 24:21, 23). God highly esteems faithfulness in all areas of our life and ministry. He requires it (1 Cor. 4:2; Rev. 2:10) and produces it (Gal. 5:23). The church in Philadelphia was a faithful church and only one of two churches in Asia Minor who received no condemnation or correction from the Lord.
